About HWD History

It all started in April 2001 - Henderson Web Design was born! At that time we were operating as a sole trading business providing website solutions for local businesses back in the 'early days' of website design.

One thing we had noticed at this time was that many websites to come out of London based design agencies incorporated, or were built entirely from Flash. At the time this was an exciting new way of bringing your websites alive.

We decided that it was time that this was introduced to the South West. Business grew and grew and eventually in 2003, after a brief company visit to Australia for the Rugby World Cup Final, Henderson Web Design needed to become a limited company.

As technology changed and customer requirements evolved we started branching out by offering a more complete range of services. These we have expanded upon and continue to do so, now offering the complete web media design, branding and print package.

It was about this time that our workload was becoming to large and diverse to handle alone, so we started using selected contractors for specific areas of expertise. This was fine as an interim solution.

In 2006, having worked for us extensively as a contractor, JP joined the team, bringing with him a huge knowledge base of web and software development which is being put to good use to the present day.

The past 6.5 years have been a fantastic adventure, frightening, enlightening, but ultimately very exciting. Along the way we have worked with, and for, some fantastic clients, on some superb projects and have relished every challenge that has been put in front of us.
